Challenge #20 - K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stamper - Jane's Turn

Hi! I'm Jane, a stay at home Mum to my two gorgeous little ones. I have always been creative and started cardmaking and stamping in February 2009 as something to do when my husband works night shifts! Little did I know how addicted I would become and I have made so many wonderful friends worldwide through my blog! I love to colour and create and find myself making something most evenings. I was so thrilled when Crissy asked if I would like to join the team and work with her gorgeous images! I didn't think twice about saying yes!!

**********

Our challenge this month is, of course, K.I.S.S - Keep it simple stamper!! - Phew! if you visit my blog you will know that this was a huge challenge for me!!! I can't resist adding more and more and then some more to my cards! I love butterflies and so Crissy's gorgeous Rose Butterfly was the perfect choice for me for this month's card.

Here's my take on the challenge -I printed the image directly onto kraft cardstock and coloured it with Prismacolor pencils. I also printed the image a second time so that I could cut out the top wings for a bit of dimension. I had intended to just have the sentiment and gem swirl but it was just too simple for me LOL!! I added the faux stitching with a fine black marker and the full lines with white pencil. The lacey border along the bottom was punched with a Martha Stewart punch. For more details please see my blog, Jane's Lovely Cards.

Now it's your turn to show us your K.I.S.S. cards!! There will be five free digi's given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize! Those who use one of Crissy's images, either from her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw. But please respect the rule of no more than three entries per month. Otherwise your entries could be deleted.

The challenge runs throughout August, so you still have a few days left to create your card, and you can find uploading instructions and the inlinkz option on Sarah's post HERE.

I hope you like my Keep it Simple card and thanks for looking! x
